Dear Lexi,
I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. I SUCK at updating this.
Good news! You have had your cast off for about a month now! Your arm has full function and everything. You’re still struggling to fully use it because it was in a cast so long that you have a habit of not using it. Your muscle is slowly but surely coming back as well. Your arm is shorter than your other by a larger amount now, but that shouldn’t cause you any problems. I have been taken back by how adaptable you are. You really don’t seem to notice or care that you go through these things. I am always expecting you to get stressed out or frustrated by all of it, but you’re just so happy. You even got to the point that you didn’t mind the X-rays.
You have gone back to cheering instead of “coaching” your cheer team. Your coaches have been such a blessing in all of this, always making sure you felt included and valuable. You’ll get to compete at the last competition next month.
You inspire me every single day. I think you’ll grow up to be an inspirational speaker or something. You always rise above your situation and find joy in the most unlikely places. You’re such a loving, affectionate, and compassionate person. I hope those qualities follow you into adulthood.
I love you, Lexi, to the moon and back, infinity times infinity… I’m so thankful for you. Keep your light shining bright sweet girl.
XOXO,
Mom
